INSTRUCTIONS:
IMPORTANT: PLEASED READ ALL OF THE BELOW BEFORE USING:
The tint spray should not be applied in temperatures below 55°F (13°C) as this affects performance of the product. If the temperature is below 55°F (13°C) you can warm the light lens using a hair dryer or by applying in a warm ventilated area.
PLEASE NOTE: Prolonged UV exposure and weathering will damage polycarbonate light lens surfaces, especially as the vehicle gets older. If the lens on your vehicle is damaged, oxodised, scratched or cracked, the lens tint may react with the exposed surface of the polycarbonate (plastic lens). If the lens tint does react with the damaged surface, we recommend using a fine cutting compound and a buffing wheel to return the headlight back to a clear state. Any reputable body shop should be able to advise you how to do this *See compatibility test.
PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
Wash the light to remove all dirt and dust and dry thoroughly.
Mask off the area around the light lens to avoid overspray.
Clean the light lens surface by wiping around the area to be tinted, using the E-TECH Cleaning Wipe Sachet (supplied as part of the E-TECH Lens Tinting Kit only. Can be purchased separately). Important – The area must be completely free of all traces of oil, grease, wax, polish, dirt, dust and moisture.
Ensure the light lens surface is dry before applying tint.
CAN PREPARATION
Carefully remove the lid from the can.
Pull nozzle off the can. Remove the transport collar and replace nozzle. The spray is now ready for use.
TINT SPRAY APPLICATION
Shake can vigorously for 2-3 minutes
*Compatibility Test: We strongly recommend that a compatibility test is carried out by spraying a small amount of tint spray on to an inconspicuous area similar to that which is going to be sprayed. If there is any sign of a negative reaction do not use this product.
Check the valve is operating with a short spray before applying to the lens.
Hold can 20-30cm from the lens and spray in thin layers using smooth horizontal & vertical strokes to avoid sags and runs.
If a second coat is required allow the tint to dry to a tacky film (approx. 5 minutes) and then apply the second coat. If you apply a heavy coat of tint you may impair the brightness of your lights so we recommend a light tint only.
